Keep Your Heart with all Diligence

If you are like me you were always a little fearful that you were perhaps not normal. That is to say you have struggled being the person you ought to be and like Eve have desired the forbidden fruit and the thought has come to your mind that that is not normal, not normal for those who want to do what is right. We get to the point where we question our heart. Maybe we just have a bad heart so to speak. Maybe we are just a little more depraved than others. Since it is not possible to look inside another individual and see what they are within (“For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?” 1 Cor. 2:11 NKJV) we doubt ourselves.

The engine of your body is the heart and a malfunctioning one is huge risk to a person’s life. According to statistics up to 500,000 people in America die yearly due to heart related problems. This might sound frightening but with the right workout and diet, you can have a healthy heart and life. A healthy heart is the result of hard work therefore you would have to take good care of yourself if you would to have a healthy and full life. The heart can be compared to a car, in order for it to run it needs to be serviced.

American Heart Association Encourages Walking Activities

In an effort to draw attention to employer-sponsored health promotion and chronic disease prevention, the American Heart Association is calling on employers across the country to establish health and physical activity initiatives such as walking during “National Workplace Wellness Week” (April 5-11, 2009).  This year the association’s National Start! Walking Day, which aims to get Americans up and moving for 30 minutes on April 8, will take place during the week.
